Barcelona striker Jeffren Suarez will be out of action until the beginning of March after suffering a muscle injury during this Thursday morning training session.
The striker, who celebrates his 23rd birthday today, suffered an unwanted birthday present when he tore a muscle in his left leg at the end of the morning workout.
It is another setback for Jeffren, who went on as a substitute in the closing minutes of Barcelona's 3-1 Copa del Rey defeat to Betis on Wednesday night.
The youngster, who came through the Barcelona youth system, has suffered four different injuries this season, starting off with a groin strain at the beginning of the campaign and continuing with a dislocated shoulder which he suffered in October and which kept him out of action for a month.
So far he has made just seven appearances in all competitions this season and has scored just one goal.
