Wu Di led a balanced attack with a team-high 29 points to help Henan beat Heilongjiang 104-91 in the Chinese Women's Basketball League (WCBA) here on Tuesday, ending a six-game losing streak.
Pan Li finished with 24 points and seven assists, while Katharen Feenstra hit 9-of-9 from two-point range to end with 22 points and nine rebounds for Henan, who shot 69.23% from the three-point range.
"Female Kobe" Ji Yanyan scored a match-high 36 points for Heilongjiang while Liu Jiaceng donated 33 points, but only three other Heilongjiang players scored. Yu Jie tried seven three-point throws and none was made. She finished with only two points.
Miao Lijie scored 40 points to lead Shengyang Army beating defending champion Liaoning 87-83.
Shengyang Army trailed by 15 points by the end of the first quarter. But Miao Lijie was 16-of-21 and helped the team to beat Liaoning for the second time in this season. Shengyang Army edged out Liaoning 77-76 by the first time they met in this regular season.
Jiangsu revenged Bayi with 70-62. Li Shanshan had 19 points and four steals. In their first meet of the season, Jiangsu lost to Bayi 63-77. Chen Nan had a team-high 19 points and 16 rebounds for Bayi.
On Tuesday's other two matches, Zhejiang beat Shanghai 78-73 and Yunan thrashed Fujian 106-86.
Beijing lost to Guangdong 64-72 on Monday.
Shengyang Army still takes the top position of the league with 10-2 while Fujian is on a 12-game losing streak.
