Corinthians starting striker Iarley was loaned to Ceara on Tuesday, marking the player's return to his stomping grounds.
Iarley helped Ceara win the 2002 Ceara state championship.
Ceara president Evandro Leitao made the announcement that the club will loan Iarley till June 2011.
The 36-year-old is a Ceara native and previously played for the local teams of Quixada and Ferroviario.
He also played for Spain's Real Madrid team B, Mexico's Dorados and Internacional's 2006 Club World Cup winning team.
After spending two years with Goias, the striker formed the duo of the Corinthians attack with star Ronaldo.
Leitao is expected to announce two additional arrivals for 2011 in the next couple of days and hopes to sign fullback Cleber, midfielder Wellington Monteiro and potentially striker Ederson.
