Fluminense's star midfielder and Argentinean native Dario Conca won the 2010 Bola de Ouro on Monday.
The Bola de Ouro, or Golden Ball, is the equivalent to an MVP award for the Brazilian Championship.
Conca is now the fourth Argentine to win the prestigious award. Previously, Ancheta and Cejas split the award in 1973 while Tevez won in 2005. Conca was the only athlete on the Brazilian Championship title winning team to have played in each of the 38 games throughout the competition.
Runner up to Conca was Gremio's star striker Jonas, receiving the Bola de Prata, or Silver Ball. Additionally, the Chuteira de Ouro, or Golden Cleat, went to 18-year-old Santos striker Neymar.
The awards given out on Monday were voted upon by journalists throughout Brazil. The Brazilian Confederation of Soccer (CBF) will hold its own award ceremony on December 9.
