Spanish side Villarreal took a big step towards the last 32 of the Europa League with a 4-0 win at home to Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.
Villarreal kicked off the game in danger of crashing out of the competition and in third place of their group, but Giuseppe Rossi soon calmed nerves when he scored a penalty in the 22nd minute.
The home side has been in exceptional form lately and produced another magnificent performance to win the game.
Marco Ruben scored his side's second goal of the game after 63 minutes and Rossi netted his second of the night with just 10 minutes remaining.
There was still time for Biscan to commit a penalty over Nilmar, but as Rossi had already been substituted, Marcos Senna took the spot kick and saw how Dinamo keeper Kelava made a spectacular save to stop his side conceding a fourth goal.
Freddy Kanoute scored twice for Sevilla away to Paris Saint Germain, but it was not enough to save his side from sliding to a 4-2 defeat in France.
Bodmer and Hoarau put PSG 2-0 with goals after 17 and 19 minutes, and although Kanoute levelled the score with his strikes after 32 and 37 minutes, Nene re-established PSG's lead before halftime, before Hoarau's second of the game assured the result two minutes into the second half. Sevilla should still qualify for the next round of the competition. Gregorio Manzano's side will make it to the last 32 if they draw their final group game which is at home to Borussia Dortmund.
