Head coach Celso Roth of S.C. Internacional revealed on Monday the list of 23 players that will travel to Abu Dhabi to play in the 2010 Club World Cup.
Roth initially handed in a list of 30, as requested by FIFA. Those cut from the original list were goalie Muriel, Uruguayan fullback Sorondo, midfielder Bruno Silva and four strikers, Ilan, Marquinhos, Edu, and Eduardo Sasha.
Celso Roth's list includes many more defensive players than offensive specialists. They are goalkeepers Renan, Abbondanzieri and Louro; fullbacks Bolivar, Indio, Rodrigo, Ronaldo Alves and Wilson Matias; midfielders Nei, Guinazu, Kleber, Tinga, Giuliano, D' Alessandro, Derly, Glaydson, Juan, Daniel, Andrezinho and 19-year-old Oscar; and strikers Alecsandro, Rafael Sobis and Leandro Damiao.
The team's last match of the 2010 Brazilian Championship will take place on December 2 on the road against last place Gremio Prudente.
Immediately after the match, the team will return to Porto Alegre and travel to the United Arab Emirates on Decmeber 8. The team's first match of the prestigious tournament will be against either the Congo's TP Mezembe or Mexico's CF Pachuca on December 14.
