World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia reached the semifinals of the badminton men's singles at the Commonwealth Games on Monday by beating Chen Yong Zhao of Singapore 21-13, 21-21.
The talented Lee took the total control of the match and made Chen dance around the court with his delicate drops and bursts of smashes.
India's two other top medal hopefuls, Kashyap Parupalli and Chetan Anand Buradagunta, both entered the men's singles semifinals.
Parupalli will meet Rajiv Ouseph of England in the semis on Tuesday while Buradagunta will face powerful lee.
Buradagunta has never beaten Lee in any of their previous matches.
