Hosts Atletico-PR overcame Vitoria 1-0 in the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship on Wednesday.

The game's only goal came in the 36th minute of play as veteran captain Paulo Baier sent the ball towards the front of the goal, finding Rhodolfo who leaped above the defense to head the ball into the left side of the goal and past keeper Lee.

The win provisionally sends Atletico-PR to fifth place with 41 points. The team's final standing after the 26th round will depend on other results across the league in the remainder of Wednesday's play. In the 27th round of play, the team will travel to face Cruzeiro on October 2.

Vitoria remains in thirteenth place with 31 points. In the next round of play, the team will receive Gremio on October 2.
