South Korea's Kim Jae-Bum beat Brazil's Leandro Guilheiro to win the men's under 81-kilogram category at the world judo championships on Friday.
The 25-year-old Kim, who won the silver in the Beijing Olympics and third in the world championships last year, needed only 16 seconds in sudden death extra time to throw the Brazilian down to score a waza-ari (half-point) for the victory.
Euan Burton of Britain and Japan's Masahiro Takamatsu took the bronze medals beating Canto and Elnur Mammadli of Azerbaijan, respectively.
