On the eve of his long awaited return to action, Corinthians star striker Ronaldo expressed his anger on Saturday to criticisms of being overweight.
Ronaldo claims that he will prove his critics wrong once again. After more than three months of inactivity due to a right calf injury, Ronaldo is confirmed to play in Sunday's 17th round match of the Brazilian Championship against Vitoria at home in the Pacaembu stadium.
"If you are in pain, you cannot run. As a consequence, you consume more calories and generate a gain in weight," Ronaldo said. "What the media writes is always exaggerated. Whoever writes has to be responsible because lots of people read."

"A person that has twelve percent body fat cannot be considered fat," he added.
Ronaldo said that he greatly improved his physical conditioning and strength of his calf within the last two weeks.
