Botafogo beat Atletico-GO 2-0 in the 14th round of the Brazilian Championship on Sunday, marking Botafogo's third-straight victory to place them in the tournament's top-four.
Botafogo scored both of their goals in the second half. The first came in the 51st minute when Herrera headed the ball to Somalia who quickly fired it into the back of the home team's net.
Later, in the 81st minute, Jobson streaked down the field on a fast break, blowing past goalie Marcio and tapping the ball into the open net.
The loss at home keeps Atletico-Go in 12th and last place of this year's tournament with only nine points. The team returns to action on August 22 when they travel to play Internacional in the 15th round of play.
