Sao Paulo's star midfielder and current member of the Brazilian national soccer team, Hernanes, was announced on Monday to currently on the bidding table for the Italian team Lazio.
The athlete is expected to remain with Sao Paulo until the end of the team's participation in the 2010 Liberatdores Cup.
The value for the purchase of Hernanes is rumored to be worth 13.5 million Euros. The athlete is expected to sign a contract for five years.
Hernanes' last game with Sao Paulo may be on August 5 when they host Internacional in the return leg of the semifinals of the 2010 Libertadores Cup. The team lost the first leg 1-0. In order to advance to the finals, the team will need to win by a two goal differential.
Should Sao Paulo be eliminated, Hernanes is expected to immediately travel to Italy in order to undergo a routine physical examination and sign his contract.
