The former head coach of the Brazilian national soccer team broke his silence on Friday.

Dunga claimed that he would not change a thing in the four years that he prepared the Brazilian national team for the 2010 World Cup.

"I did my job. I polished the players and re-captured the pride of being a Brazilian and representing our country. The moral is back in place on the national team. If the media does not like it, it is your problem," said Dunga.

The coach also defended his decision to keep Ronaldinho Gaucho, Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso off the roster. The coach remains that he made the right decision in opting for other athletes.

In regard to Neymar and Ganso, Dunga said that the inconsistency and inexperience of both were too risky. He added that Luis Fabiano, Robinho and Kaka already demonstrated a fluid chemistry among themselves.

For Ronaldinho, the coach ironically questioned who would he remove from his roster in order to make room for Ronaldinho.

Dunga also defended Felipe Melo, the one responsible for knocking in the Netherland's first goal in their 2-1 win over Brazil in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in South Africa.

"Someone has to be the scapegoat. In 1990, it was me. You cannot crucify Felipe for making a mistake. His expulsion was infantile. But let me ask all of you, how many times have you done something infantile at your own place of word?" concluded Dunga.

Although fired upon arrival in Brazil from South Africa on July 4, the coach expressed his desire to continue on board. However, the president of the Brazilian Confederation of Soccer (CBF), Ricardo Teixeira, announced that a major reform needs to take place and a new head coach of large caliber brought in for the preparation of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

As the head coach of the Brazilian national soccer team, in 69 games Dunga won 50, tied 12 and lost 7. He led Brazil to win the 2009 Confederations Cup, the 2007 Americas Cup and led Brazil to finish first place in the South American World Cup qualifiers and won a Bronze medal in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
