Slovakia suffered a step back losing 2-0 to Paraguay Sunday afternoon, and coach Vladimir Weiss was realistic on who the better side was on the day in their World Cup Group F match.
"We made two mistakes and were punished for them. They were high quality opponents and their victory was deserved," said Weiss.
"We lost the match because we were not bold upfront. Paraguay didn't play as good as they can and still we lost. It is a good learning experience for my team and we are happy to be at the World Cup."
However, Slovakia who tied New Zealand 1-1 in their opener, still have the chance to make the last 16 should they beat winless Italy in their decisive and final group encounter on Thursday.
