South Africa's national rugby team the Springboks, the current world champions, beat Wales 34-31 in a one-off Test on Saturday afternoon.
At half-time the Springboks were 16-14.
Their tries were scored by wing Odwa Ndungane, centre Juan de Jongh and flank Dewald Potgieter. Flyhalf Ruan Pienaar kicked four penalties and two conversions. Fullback Frans Steyn added a penalty
Wales scored tries through centre James Hook, wing Tom Prydie and replacement Alun-Wyn Jones. Hook added a drop goal while flyhalf Stephen Jones landed three penalties and two conversions.
