Luis Fabiano will return home on Tuesday in order to receive medical treatment from the national soccer team's doctor, the Brazilian Confederation of Soccer (CBF) said.
The star striker sustained a left thigh injury on May 15 with his Spanish team Sevilla and will undergo intensive treatment at the Reefis center in Sao Paulo, according to the CBF.
Brazil's leading scorer during the World Cup qualifiers, Fabiano is expected to join the squad on May 21. However, head coach Dunga is worried about his fitness at the World Cup in South Africa.
