FC Barcelona signed an agreement to renew the contract of central defender Gabi Milito on Monday.
The newly crowned La Liga champions, have given another year's contract to the 29-year-old, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2012.
Milito arrived at Zaragoza in the summer of 2007 with a four year contract and played 27 games in his first season before suffering a knee ligament injury that kept him out of action for over a year and a half.
He finally returned to action in the second half of the current season, giving important back up and making 11 first team appearances.
"I am immensely happy, after all I have suffered this is glorious," Milito told Barca TV.
"I have always said this is the best squad I have ever played with and now I can go on holiday knowing I have won the League and have recovered physically," he added.
