Adriano’s agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, confirmed on Wednesday that his client’s future in soccer will be in Europe. Gilmar announced that the player will decide among three European teams.
“Adriano is ready to return to European soccer. The best fit for him is a club that is accustom to having Brazilian players,” described Gilmar
According to Rinaldi Gilmar, a former goalkeeper for Flamengo’s soccer team, Adriano will have to make up his mind as soon as the World Cup in South Africa ends.
The agent claims that the player’s decision will be between the Italian team, Roma, and the two Spanish clubs of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Adriano’s current contract with Flamengo extends through May of 2010. However, should Flamengo advance to the semifinals of the Libertadores Cup, he is expected to stay in Brazil for another two months in search of winning the team’s second continental title.
