体坛英语资讯：Sevilla striker Negredo admits to mixed feelings ahead of return to Bernabeu

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo admitted this Monday that he has mixed feelings ahead of his side's game against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next weekend.

The former Real Madrid striker admitted that although his side needs the points in the battle to assure a fourth place in the BBVA Primera Liga and a place in next season's Champions League, a win for Sevilla would give an advantage to FC Barcelona in its battle to win the title.

As a product of the Real Madrid youth system, Negredo doesn' t want to help his traditional rival.

"We could help Barcelona, which is something that I would prefer not to do, but I have to defend my current team and we need to win to see if we can finish as high as third," he said.

"Barcelona look to have nerves at the moment and Real Madrid is pressuring them hard," said Negredo on Gol television.

The striker was reporting for duty with the Spain squad ahead of Wednesday's friendly game away to France.

It will be the last friendly game before coach Vicente Del Bosque picks his squad for next summer's World Cup finals and Negredo's inclusion hints that he is favorite to be taken to South Africa.

However, he preferred not to take anything for granted.

"There is still a long time between now and the World Cup but it is an important step to be included now. Nevertheless there is a lot of football still to be played and I have to work hard and give everything if I want to be in South Africa."

"Players such as (Roberto) Soldado, (Fernando) Llorente or (Aritz) Aduriz could all be taken along as the fourth striker," said Negredo.
