Maria Riesch of Germany won the gold medal of the women's slalom Friday at the Whistler Creekside park at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.Riesch finished the two runs with a time of one minute and 42.89 seconds to claim the title. This is her second gold medal and the ninth of her country at the Games.

Marlies Schild of Austria completed the runs 0.43 seconds slower than the champion to win the silver medal.
