In a thrilling Bundesliga match Borussia Dortmund lost to Frankfurt 2-3 on Sunday.
Dortmund started aggressively. But, Frankfurt took the lead only eight minutes into the match. Midfielder Benjamin Koehler utilized a cross from the right wing and nodded home into top left corner.
Dortmund answered with the equalizer nine minutes later. Defender Mats Hummels slotted home a rebound shot from close range into bottom left.
Dortmund turned around about 57 minutes into the match. Striker Lucas Barrios scored with a poacher's goal from very close range.
Eight minutes later Frankfurt again equalized and blazed the way for the victory. Midfielder Alexander Meier scored the astonishing decider at the 74th minute.
Dortmund lost its second match in row. Frankfurt remains on 7th position while Dortmund slipped from 4th to 5th.
Elsewhere, Mainz earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Borussia Moenchengladbach. Bo Svensson scored the only goal just before half time.
Mainz jumped from 8th to 7th position six points behind European spots. Gladbach found themselves in 13th position.
