Brett Brungardt, the physical trainer who had worked with NBA star guard Steve Nash, will join in the Chinese Jilin Northeast Tigers basketball club to help with the training. Zhang Aijun, general manager of the club, said on Wednesday that Brungardt is the Christmas gift brought by Huang Jianhua, a Chinese financier who was one of the stockholders of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA and has bought a share of the Jilin club late November.
Zhang indicated that Brungardt is going to conduct training courses for the players such as motion test, sports physiology, flexility study and athletic nutrition.
The club is expected to be trained more scientifically under Brungardt and receive better accomplishment consequently, according to Zhang.
Brungardt, 50, has a bunch of coaching experience with NBA stars such as David Robinson, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki.
The Northeast Tigers are preparing for the coming season of the Chinese Basketball Association. They will face Zhejiang, Fujian and Shanxi for the warm-up matches in the coming 10 days.
