Real Madrid will play a friendly match against the Chinese national team at home in December, the Spanish soccer club confirmed on Thursday. The game is set for Dec. 22 in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at 08:00hrs local time (0700 GMT) and 15:00hrs Beijing time, the club said.
Local sports daily "As" reported on Thursday that the match will put into practice Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez's idea of accessing Asian market.
China's Football Industrial Development Corporation (CFDC) is believed to finance the match.
Real Madrid previously made two invitational tours to China - in 2003 and in 2005.
The Spanish club is expected to earn about one million euros from the match, which includes TV broadcast fee, marketing and ticket sales, the As added.
