Venezuelan Edwin Valero will contend on Saturday with Colombian Antonio Pitalua the light weight (135 pounds) title of the World Council of Boxing (WCB). On declarations published on Wednesday by local press, Valero said that he has designed his combat strategy against Pitalua for the fight to be held in Frank Erwin Center, in Austin, Texas, U.S.
Valero, former super featherweight of the Boxing World Association (BWA), intensified his training to win a new belt and keep his unbeatable record.
"We do not want to leave possibilities open to any spy," Valero said. "We have great things kept for coming Saturday and the aspirations of succeed," he added. Since Valero arrived, he has had training fights with local fighters.
"After wining I will go to Venezuela and I will have all the time of the world to share it with you. I love my country and I want to tell it that I will give my life in the ring. I do not have other option," Valero said.
Frank Erwin Center belongs to the University of Texas and it has seats for 18,000 people. The tickets price is between 200 and 25 U.S. dollars.
