The couple were married for 11 years before they first filed for divorce after Robin Wright found her husband drunk in a hotel room with two Russian girls just days before last Christmas. Penn initially filed for divorce from his wife on Dec. 7, though his petition was later dismissed. Three days later, Wright Penn filed her own paperwork. Their first hearing was scheduled for April 21.
Sean Penn, 47, has enjoyed a long acting career in movies and won the best actor Oscar for his leading role in 2003's "Mystic River." He also is a director whose most recent film, "Into the Wild," earned solid reviews last year.
Robin Wright Penn, 42, rose to prominence in the 1980s, and has starred in recent movies such as "Beowulf" and "What Just Happened?".
They have a 17-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son.
