无袖的外罩，对襟(front opening)，通常裁剪成长方形(rectangle)或正圆(circle)或椭圆(oval)等几何形状(geometric shape)。有些会在两侧开口(slits)，方便两臂穿过。

长方形或椭圆形斗篷，中间开洞，供头伸出，或有前领开口(front neck opening)，和口袋。
