　　办公室里你更喜欢哪一类人，是那些表现张扬、事事争先的高调者还是那些看似低调实则高明，以气质或细腻的技巧取胜的low-profile women（暗香型女性）？

　　Some female office workers are popular with colleagues, earning their superiors’ trust more easily because they keep a low profile though they are professionally sophisticated and tastefully polished, in sharp contrast to their flamboyant peers.

　　古诗词中，“蛾儿雪柳黄金缕，笑语盈盈暗香去”“东篱把酒黄昏后，有暗香盈袖”，都用“暗香”形容女人的神秘美妙。这里“暗香型女性”，是指以细腻和典雅的气质取胜的女性，她们看似低调实则高明，在职场中比花枝招展型更能赢得同事的好感和上司的信赖。

　　You might have better opinions than those of your colleagues that contain lots of flaws. However, proposing them straightly might cause discontentment of your colleagues with you being considered as someone who is keen on putting down others.

　　或许你的意见比同事高明，他的提议真的漏洞种种，但是你直接地提出，很可能会让大家对你心生不满，觉得你不择手段，以打击别人为乐事。

　　The virtue of low-profile women is that they would do the work others neglect while accomplishing their own work, leading others to have no doubt of their working ability and do not repulse them as an ambitious woman. It would also raise people’s expectations in them.

　　暗香型女性的优点在于，在做好本职工作的同时，不露声色地做好与自己衔接同事疏忽的工作，会让大家肯定你的能力，又不会觉得你锋芒太露、野心勃勃，产生反感。这样也能逐渐提高大家对你的期待值。
