两个表示解决的英语单词，你真的会用吗

谢谢Awesophia 的提问。她想知道solve 和settle 这两个词的区别是什么。这两个词在含有“解决”的意思时很容易让我们费解，但是在英语语境中还是不难区分的。

Solve 是指找到解决问题的办法，因此，与之搭配的常常是：solve a problem、a mystery、a puzzle、difficulties 等等。

而settle 是指解决争端，争议，也就是中止争端和争议，使意见达成一致。与之搭配的是：settle an argument、a matter、a dispute 等等。我们先来听几个含有solve 的例句。

She’s very good at solving problems.

她很擅长解决问题。

It’s not a problem that you can solve easily, this is going to take quite a bit of patience.

这不是一个容易解决的问题，需要有耐心才行。
