Van Gogh's ear for music: 音盲
Vincent Van Gogh（梵高）是一位天才画家，当然，某种意义上，“天才”也意味着“不可思议”。因他不可思议的“割耳”举止，后世拥有了一句俗语：Van Gogh's ear for music（音盲）。 1988年。法国南部阿尔勒古城。无名小画家梵高对一位被他爱慕的女孩说：“小姐，我该送件什么样的礼物给你呢？” 女孩拉着他的耳朵开玩笑说：“就要这个”。不想，回到居室，梵高竟真的拿水果刀割掉了左耳，并托人把包着耳朵的小手绢送给了那个随即昏厥的天真女孩…… 在常人眼中，没了耳朵的“疯子”绝对听不懂外界的声音，包括优美的旋律。久而久之，当人们嘲讽别人五音不全时，常会戏谑道：You have Gogh's ear for music！
