托业考试的成绩证书本身没有有效期，TOEIC考试成绩的有效期与考生英语能力的水平保持同样长的时间， 但是，能力是可以随着时间而改善或退步的。 由于这个原因， 越是近期的成绩， 越能有效代表考生的能力。 ETS建议考生每2年参加一次TOEIC考试。
