看电影的乐趣就是这样，不经意中就挖到了宝，虽然小小的不贵重，但又如此让人爱不释手。

凯特(凯瑟琳基纳 饰)和丈夫艾力克斯一起经营二手家具的事业，夫妇俩带着女儿艾比住在曼哈顿，为了在拥挤的城市里有更大的生活空间，他们决定把隔壁的公寓买下，但这也代表必须等待个性古怪的安德拉老太太大限之日的到来，不过，随着凯特一家和老太太与她的两个孙女之间感情越来越好，当初的计划也有了越来越多变量……。
电影里可以完成的事太多，有意义的却不多，这部电影我喜欢的原因，就因为它带着部份真实人生的缩影。一个人只能过一种人生；如果想要尝试其它种人生的过法，你得给别人靠近你的机会，与你产生必要的连结。
