迪士尼与罗伯特·泽梅基斯（Robert Zemeckis）的ImageMovers工作室合作的又一部动作捕捉技术动画片《飞行人》（Airman）终于找到编剧了，那就是曾经为迪士尼卖座真人电影《纳尼亚传奇：狮子，女巫，魔衣橱》（The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe)撰写剧本的安.比考克（Ann Peacock）。
曾和罗伯特·泽梅基斯（Robert Zemeckis）合作了《怪兽屋》（Monster House）的吉尔·基南（Gil Kenan）将执导这部影片。和之前泽梅基斯参与的动作捕捉技术动画一样，本片耗资巨大，预计成本高达1.5亿美元。
《飞行人》改变自《阿特米斯奇幻历险》（Artemis Fowl）作者Eoin Colfer同名小说。本书的主人公Conor Broekhart是在热气球上出生的，他的家族和皇帝很亲密，这位皇帝很喜欢看着天空寻求灵感。不过好景不长，Conor的导师和皇帝都被人谋杀了，Conor也被投入监狱。两年后他越狱成功，这时他面临着抉择：对那些曾抛弃过他的人置之不理？还是尽释前嫌、勇敢与阴谋颠覆政府的人斗争？
