《夏洛特烦恼》中，沈腾饰演的夏洛意外穿越回1997年，由窝囊废逆袭成时代偶像，机智唱遍华语乐坛的时代金曲，高效改写人生。《一次就好》这首歌在电影中共出现过三次，前两次都是夏洛唱给校花听，第三次则是马冬梅唱给病床上的夏洛听。电影里其他夏洛演唱的歌曲，实际都是提前唱了别人大红的歌，与之区别的是，《一次就好》是夏洛唯一“原创”的歌曲，虽然从未唱给马冬梅听过，但却成为了冬梅的最爱。
电影《夏洛特烦恼》为了报答一路支持夏洛的“自来水”，特别制作了一份暖心的礼物——由董冬冬、陈曦作词作曲，新世代歌神杨宗纬演唱的《一次就好》MV，也是电影里唯一一首由夏洛原创的歌曲。
