艾米莉·金妮（Emily Kinney）已经退出《行尸走肉》中的丧尸大战，但现在她正准备进军刑事司法系统。她将同《卡特特工》主演海莉·阿特维尔（Hayley Atwell）一道出演ABC试播集《定罪》，故事围绕一位被迫加入洛杉矶诚信定罪组（Conviction Integrity Unit）的女子展开。
金妮的角色——苔丝·汤普森（Tess Thompson），是组里“聪明过人但缺乏经验的法务助理，她的内心隐藏了阴暗的悲痛，”并坚信自己能够在体制内为无辜的人翻案，从而做出更大的改变。
如果《定罪》得以预定，这将成为金妮继在《行尸走肉》中突然死亡后，第一部以常驻角色出演的剧集。与此同时，她还客串了《性爱大师》、《闪电侠》和《尼克病院》。
