　　Ive learned English for more than ten years. At first, I think memorizing articles is the only way of learning a foreign langue. And by doing that, I did well in my English exams. But last year I heard a speech which is about how to learn English delivered by an American university professor. The speech is very impressive. According to the speaker, the best way of learning a foreign language is using it. He invited us to do role play during the speech. Our broken English was showed in the role play clearly. He said we can learn English from our life. English movies, songs, dramas, novels and English speaker friends are all good teachers. After that, I changed my way of learning English. I joined in an English club to watch English movie and discuss with people in English. I found it is much easier to learn it than memories it. But I still feel its not enough, therefore, I decideto go abroad. I believe my English would improve faster in the foreign country.

　　I have so many friends; and Id like to go shopping or see a movie with them. Sandy is my best friend who is just like my sister. She is a very generous and thoughtful person. I remembered once I went to her city for holiday. She invited me to live in her apartment. And of course Id like to live with her. When I asked her do I need to bring something like shampoo and tower. She said, no no , just bring your empty stomach. She even bought me a weekly travel pass .So I can take a bus to go anywhere in the city for free! Actually she was very busy those days. But she tried her best to guide me around the city. She also bought me a city guide, just in case she cant jump out of her work. That city guide is still on my bookshelf. Every time I saw it, I would remember that wonderful holiday and my best friend.

　　Actually I hate advertisements, especially those long and boring ones. But some advertisements are kind of interesting. I saw a Ford car advertisement on TV last night, which was very impressive. The camera gave people many pictures of different people and different cars. The people matched their cars extremely well. For example, an elegant lady was standing beside a pure white car. As for a cool teenager, the car behind him was a bright yellow jeep. Of course, those cars were all Ford. At last, a fantastic sentence told audients the main theme. There are no same men and no same women. The only thing which is same, we are all different. When I saw this advisement, I just feel that there must be a Ford car which belongs to me. If all the advertisements are like this one, I think there would be less compliments from audients.

　　I admire my grandfather very much. He is just like a hero in my heart. My grandpa is a geographical professor. When he was young, he used to travel around the world. He told me a lot of stories happened in his journeys, which are so impressive. I think maybe thats why I always want to go abroad.

　　And after his retirement, he began to learn English. He told me that when he was in a foreign country, he had to grab an interpreter with him which is very inconvenient. So he decided to learn English with me. Actually my grandpa studies much harder than me. As long as he saw an English text, even a sign or advertisement, he would read it out and translate it into Chinese. He and I share an interest which is watching Hollywood movie. Sometimes he could even figure out the wrong translation of the movies subtitle. Every time I told my friends my grandpa is a big fan of Harry Potter, they always be surprised and said, OH, what a modern grandpa!

　　When I was a kid, I have a lot of toys just like all the children in the world. Among them, my favorite one is a bear which is my 10th birthday gift sent by my father. The bear is as lovely as other Teddy bears, but its more than that. The best thing is it can record voice. There is a button on each hand of the bear. A microphone and a speaker are hidden in its head. If you press the left button, you will hear a beep to notice you record your sentence. And if you touch the right button, the bear will replay that. The bear could record a sentence which is about 10 seconds long. I often make fun with it. When my friends visit me, I would record my voice secretly. Then I asked my friends, Who is the smartest guy in the world? You know what, my bear knows. Then I touched the right hand, she said, Of course, April! . The bear has been with me for more than 10 years ， she is still sitting on my bed, so that I can see her everyday.

　　Traffic accidents always come without noticing. Now Id like to tell you one of them that I have seen.One summer day, I was on my way to see the movie which was performed by Andy Lau, the superstar in my heart. The movie was so popular that so many people wanted to get the tickets. To my delight, I got one of them. However, when the bus came to the Erqi road, the traffic jam happened which was caused by the traffic accident. One person was hit by a car with very fast speed. It was the rush ours of the day. Although policemen worked very hard, we were still blocked on the road seriously. I felt very sorry for the person and at the same time for my movie.

　　I really hope every people could follow the traffic code so that we can have a safe and enjoyable environment. Whats more, from then on, no matter what I do I will arrange my time ahead so that I will not feel pity for everything.

　　I like shopping very much. The shop where I often go is named Kawayi which means lovely in English near my university. It is not a big one but has very special features. Selected goods are sold there. The shop is decorated with pink wall and pink floor. The shop assistants in the shop are as lovely as its name. Every time I entered in, I murmured , what a girl shop!

　　I often go there because I always can buy the things that I like such as cute dolls, colorful flowers and so on. Whats more, I like the environment that the shop gives me.

　　You know, China is a county with a long history. Historical places could be found in almost every city. In my hometown, there is a temple which called XuanZang Temple. Its not as big as other famous temples in China, but its my favorite one. XuanZang is a famous monk of Tang density. You might know the Chinese novel named A Journey to the West. XuanZang is the main character of the novel, who is actually the real people in Chinese history. The temple was build at the birth place of Xuanzang. It displays his clothes, his Buddhist books which were brought from India, and his translation works. The most interesting one was a book which is translated by him from an Indian book. I can clearly see that there is a Chinese character, yujia which means Yoga in English. You know Yoga is popular all over the world now. How can I imagine that it was introduced in China 1000 years ago?

　　The environment problems can be seen every where. Recently the most obvious one for me is the great changing of the weather. I remembered that the flowers were almost everywhere at this time of the year. However, what is really ridiculous is, people still feel like in the winter. In the morning, the sun shines lovely, but in the afternoon, it suddenly rained without any broadcasting. To everyone surprise, it even snowed for nearly one week in my city, Zhengzhou although it is spring now. I believe the phenomenon that I mentioned is caused by the air population. When climate change is talked all over the world, I felt that my life was far away from it. However, I could actually see it in my real life now. There is only one earth for us. If we want to live a better life and leave our children a better world in the future, we must take actions to protect our environment.

　　I always introduce myself like that; I can not live without music. I like almost all kinds of music such as Rock and Roll, Pop, Hip hop, even the classical ones. Recently, I am crazy about a musical named Mamma Mia. What is different between musicals and songs is that musicals usually tell a complete story with music. The story of Mamma Mia is about a girl who wants to find her father. According to her mothers diary, there were three men who could be her father. So she invited all of them to her wedding ceremony. Ive watched the DVD for three times, I can sing every song in the musical. The sound track was used to perform by a famous music group named ABBA. But in the version I watched, the film star Meryl Streep song the song Dancing Queen amazingly, even better than the original singer.

　　Everyone has the things that he/she want to do in the future. As for me, I want to learn Arabic if I have the chance.

　　It is said that Arabic is the second hardest language apart from Chinese in the world. If I could really master the language, other languages maybe easier for me to learn. The other reason is that I am really very interested in the pyramids of Egypt and the language of Egypt is Arabic too. If I can speak Arabic, it will be convenient for me to travel there. However, I cant find the person who teaches Arabic in our city. If one day I can find that person, I must learn the language.

A girl was murdered on her way home at night as there was no bus station near her apartment. After I read that, I decided to stay at home in the evening. However, there is always sometime that I have to go out at night to have dinner with my friends or finish my work. Therefore, if I have enough money, Id like to buy a car. It is not necessarily big or luxury, but it could offer me sense of safety.

　　I remembered when I was young; I learned drawing from my grandfather. Unlike other drawing class, I didnt need to follow what the teachers work. My grandpa encouraged me using my eyes and imagination. I can still recall that once I planed to draw a picture of sunshine. I asked my grandfather, hows sunshine looks like? He said, no one knows. Every people has his own sunshine and you need to draw yours. So I drew a colorful flower with seven colors. I do believe sunshine is just like that. Although I seldom draw pictures now, the experience of learning drawing would let me feel the life is so beautiful.

　　I like reading. So the public library is my favorite place in my city. Our library is the one of the oldest building in the city. But the facility in the library is quite modern and sophisticated. The library is much bigger than the one of our university. It holds 1.8 million items which include books, tapes, DVDs, maps and so on. PCs are everywhere thought out the library .Its very easy to search books by online catalogue. Moreover, no matter where you are, can always access to the library wireless net work with your laptop. The library has 5 floors. Each floor has hundreds of desks, ten group study rooms and a photocopy room, which offer us convenience of doing individual studies or team works. At the end of semesters, the library of university is full of students. What is really lucky is that the public library offers lots of study places for us. My favorite seat is on the third floor, beside the windows. Most of my assignments are finished there. When I was tired, the water view outside the window can always refresh my eyes.
