A类小作文：数据图表可能性75%，地图、流程图可能性25%。
大作文以教育和社会为主，如果考旧题可能是五个方向，把这五个方向都各练习一篇，应可基本应付大作文：教育、社会发展、媒体、文化、环境。
写作并非像听力一样容易捕捉题目，能够碰到考前准备好的题目的情况当少见。雅思考试的写作题目也在不断变化。而且就算雅思考试过关，出国求学也有大量的论文要写。建议考生朋友从基础提高写作能力，多仿写目标分数的文章，积累好的句型和词汇表达，平时注意积累一些好的观点。
