9月15日，剑桥少儿英语全国统一考试在全国30个省、自治区、直辖市同时举行，近15万名6~12岁的少年儿童参加了本次考试。这是剑桥少儿英语第23次全国统考，也是第一次启用新版考题。
据教育部考试中心的相关负责人介绍，此次改版将听力、读写和口语三大部分的某些题型进行了调整和修改，例如：
一级考试听力部分的题型二采用文字提示，取代了以往的图片提示，以考查考生是否真正听懂考试内容；三级考试读写部分的题型四中，仅提供了一张与文章相关的大图，以鼓励考生全面阅读考题。总之，改版后的考试题型力求更加贴近少儿心理，更加准确地反映他们的英语水平，让孩子们轻松地接受英语语言评估，并对其日后的英语学习产生积极影响。
据悉，除了题型的变化，剑桥大学ESOL考试部对各级词汇表和考试的评分标准也作了相应调整。新词汇表更能反映出不同等级教材中常用词汇；调整后的测试标准更加精准。
