剑桥少儿英语考包括笔试及口试两部分，其中笔试部分包括听力。笔试结束后由口语考官对考生进行一对一的口试测试。该项考试由英国剑桥大学考试委员会统一负责命题。考试的出题模式和考试证书的设计形式都充分体现儿童年龄及心理特点，形式活泼生动有趣。
根据规定，考试开考10分钟后迟到考生不得入场，因此特别提醒考生一定要看好自己准考证上的时间按时参加考试。为保证考生顺利参加考试，请考生提前熟悉考试地点，避免因迟到而耽误考试。
考生参加考试时一定要携带准考证、十二色彩笔和必要的文具，其它物品不得带入考场。
每个参加考试的考生均可获得由英国剑桥大学考试委员会统一颁发的合格证书，该证书是考生英语学习能力与水平的证明。
