　　depend on/upon意为取决于;依靠，后面可以接短语或从句。在使用此短语时必须将depend 与on连用，不可分开，如下面两种表达:

　　l)They depend their living on me.

　　2)They depend on me for living.

　　关于depend，口语中常用的表达有That I It all depends.意思是这很难说，得看情况。表示说话者对某事持不确定的态度。如:

　　1)Sometimes were busy and sometimes were not so busy.Thatdepends

　　2)There are harvests once, twice and even three times a year, depending on the climate.
