  词汇题主要测试应试者对大纲词汇和短语的词义、用法和搭配的辨认和运用能力。测试的重点主要有:

  一、动词短语和介词短语的搭配和辨义

  二、近义词辨异

  三、形近词辨义

  四、单词辨义

  五、固定搭配关系:如动词和名词、名词与形容词、动词、名词、形容词与介词或副词之间的搭配。

  1.Example

  a.Select any of these periodicals: Time, Newsweek, Readers Digest or The New Yorker.

  2.Comparison

  postpone是正式用语, 语义较强, 指有意识地延至将来某一特定时间, 在多数情况下, 后面说明改在何时进行, 如: The meeting has been postponed to Friday.

  put off与postpone大致同义, 但较通俗口语化, 如: Lets put this off till some other time.

  silly 强调单纯、糊涂、低能的, 如:

  I cant stand her giggling, shes so silly.

  ridiculous 意为荒谬的、令人发笑的, 常会有鄙视之意, 如:

  How ridiculous!

  Logical, rational, reasonable, sensible
