汉语可说欢迎某人做某事，但英语习惯上不能说 welcome sb to do sth。如：
■欢迎你们来我们学校。
误：Welcome you to come to our school.
正：Welcome to our school.
析：welcome to+地点=欢迎到...来。用作欢迎语。注意：动词 welcome 习惯上不接不定式的复合结构。
又如：
Welcome to Hong Kong. 欢迎你到香港来。
Welcome home, Maria. 欢迎你回来，玛丽亚。
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our city. 女士们先生们，欢迎你们访问我们的城市。
