What sports do most young people go in for?

Nowadays, a lot of young people go in for such sports as basketball and roller skating. I dont know exactly why they become so popular. But I guess Yao Ming may be one reason for the popularity of basketball among young people. And both basketball and roller skating are cool and fun sports, I think.
