SAT作文题目解析

　　SAT考试Writing Section中的Essay，不像TOEFL/GRE那样有官方题库提供。所以，收集了一些SAT作文题目和范文基本上也是一个考生有能力准备的数量。

　　SAT作文题目由两部分组成，1) Issue;2) Assignment。例如：

　　Think carefully about the issue presented in the following excerpt and the assignment below.

　　Nowadays nothing is private: our culture has become too confessional and self-expressive. People think that to hide ones thoughts or feelings is to pretend not to have those thoughts or feelings. They assume that honesty requires one to express every inclination and impulse.

　　Assignment: Should people make more of an effort to keep some things private? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

　　SAT作文就是要回答Assignment中的问题，在这道题目中就是Should people make more of an effort to keep some things private?。而Issue的作用是给考生提供理解Assignment的线索。在Assignment中，keep some things private之中的some things指的究竟是什么?根据Issue中的文字，考生可以确定Some things包括thoughts、feelings、inclination、impulse等等。

　　SAT作文考试的评分标准与托福考试作文的评分标准非常接近，都要求考生的作文深入、良好地组织、良好地展开、用词准确、句法多样、允许少量错误。

　　每一种留学考试中的作文部分，基本上对中国学生来讲都很可能是最难的部分。考试准备过程中，最可能出现的陷阱就是回避困难。很多人明知道作文重要，但基于这样那样的原因，总是一拖再拖，直至最终上考场才发现提笔容易下笔难。

　　有心的考生，应该从现在开始，至少一周认真写上两三篇，写得好不好倒在其次因为1) 没有人从一开始就写得好;2) 但凡正常人都会通过练习获得进步重要的是要从现在就开始写。
