SAT阅读部分对中国考生常常是最困难的部分，涉及大量单词，涵盖不同领域、不同体裁的文章，做题时间也并不宽裕。
每次SAT考试词汇填空部分都会出现新词，考生也不必惊慌失措，因为即使碰到生词，无需纠结猜测它们的意思，在一定的词汇量基础上，通过对已掌握的单词采用排除法，一般也能快速选出正确答案。
SAT阅读部分，在不断做题之余，我也阅读了《SAT阅读真经21篇》一书。书中还原了许多真题的篇目，大多是西方的文学或社科经典。一方面，对于阅读理解能力起到提升作用，毕竟想要在阅读部分取得高分，语言能力还是重中之重。大量阅读可以说是提升阅读的不二法门;另一方面，每篇文章都附有难词的注解、作者背景，SAT出现频率以及观点总结等，实用性很强，都可以作为非常好的SAT写作素材，真正实现一书多用。
SAT阅读解题主要需要掌握以下几个要点：
第一、大多数题目的正确答案都是原文相关内容的改写，因此解题时无须过多运用自己的推理;同时，在平时练习时要注意夯实自己paraphrase的能力。
第二、对比型的篇章核心要把握作者的观点，两位作者是批驳还是支持，这是最重要的。
第三、注意把握文章的脉络以及段落间的逻辑关系。
第四、就个人而言，比较建议边读SAT阅读文章边做题，对于大多数阅读题而言，只要定位到相关语句，就可以解题。因此，这样的做题方法比较节省时间。
