　　阅读题考查单词在文章上下文中的最接近的含义，一起来看下面这个例子。

　　解析：

　　1、如果注意平时的积累，此题应属信手拈来。在英语课上，对于一个发音的重读不就是stress吗?再考虑下stress在文章中出现的位置处于rhythms之后，必然就是emphases之意，不可能是引申意anxieties了。

　　2、Grasp本意为抓住，引申义为理解。在上下文中，grasp后有without conscious analysis，analysis一词说明这里的grasp必然不是肢体语言，而是主观上的理解。答案昭然若揭，选E。

　　通过以上两题可见：阅读文中的长难句可能在考场有限的时间里无法吃透，但词汇含义题完全可以依据局部的精读做出。这类题目要求考生不光知道该词的本意和引申义，还要能具体问题具体分析。
