Q：在第一轮筛选申请的时候，BS并没有将GMAT写作的AWA成绩作为其中一个考虑因素。如果是这样的话，为什么还有那么多test takers会对AWA成绩如此重视?
A：首先，可以确定的是，在初次筛选申请时，AWA的成绩不会对你的申请造成影响。在初次筛选的时候，主要是以Verbal-Quantitative score 和GPA。但是当你的申请在所申请学校的borderline的时，AWA部分优秀的成绩，将会让你的一群borderline candidates，获得理想的offer。
另外，随着申请US BS的外国学生的逐渐增加，writing and verbal skills成为了BS admissions committee筛选的重要因素。他们认为，strong quantitative skills只是证明你能够成为优秀的MBA学生和经理人的条件之一。所以全面发展还是很重要的。
