在阅读中我们要做到五不要，因为它们都不同程度地影响了我们的阅读速度。
1） 不要用手或笔指着。有人指着书上的每一行左右移动，似乎怕遗漏一个词；这样无形中限制了眼睛跳跃的速度。
2） 不要晃动头。在阅读时头不能随着所读文字符号的位置而左右移动。
3） 不要出声。有的人一边读一边念出声。要训练进行默读。
4） 不要回读。阅读要一气呵成，有的考生担心没读懂，反复地回头阅读。一遇到生词或难点，就停下来，又从头开始读。
5） 不要翻译。有的人一边读一边逐句翻译，通过译成母语来达到理解。
