初中英语单词游戏教案
1、变换字母（Change a Letter of a Word）
活动目的：总结词语记忆规律，扩大和巩固英语词汇
适用对象：初学者及以上
活动时间：10分钟左右
材料或工具：卡片
（一）活动过程
1、教师事先制作一些卡片，每张卡片上写一个英语单词。在写单词时，要注意所选的词都可以通过改变其中的一个字母变成另一个英语单词。例如：foot（可变为food）、from（可变成frog）、glass（可变为grass）等。另外还准备一些空白卡片。
2、讲解与示范。活动时，教师拿出一张卡片，说道：Can we change each of them into another word by changing one letter?接着在黑板上逐个写出所改变的字母和新的单词。如果有多种加法，应尽可能全部说出。如make至少可变成七个新词：cake，take，made，wake，mate，male和sake（sake一词不常见，不必列出）；at至少可变成四个词：it，an，am，as。
3、活动。教师不断展示新的卡片，同时说道：“What’s the other word?”全班学生举手说出所加的字母和新词。注意只能改变一个字母，多者违规。说对者将获得本张卡片。有的单词有多种变换方法，那么第一个说出新词者拥有本张单词卡，后面答对者可获得一张空白卡片。
4、评奖。根据最后学生持有的单词卡和空白卡数量，每张单词卡计2分，空白卡计1分，得分最多的学生为优胜学生。
