一、教材地位(UNIT POSITION)
1、从本单元的中心“春季”为主线来看，教材内容着重围绕着“新年”这个主题展开;语言的使用环境是新年中的走亲访友。
2、词汇方面：学生在一年级第一学期学习了家庭基本组成成员father、mother、 brother、 sister、 me的口语表述基础上，增加了uncle、 aunt、 grandfather、 grandmother四个常用词的口头表达。
3、句型方面：一年级第一学期学习了How are you? Fine, thank you.的简单问答，本单元呈现了应答句的完整性和交互性。
4、Show me …在一年级第一学期是出现过的，结合本单元“新年”的课题和语境，增加了Try your new …和I like …的句型，以及新年的特定问候语Happy New Year.
