                        Step1.  Warm up:
                        T: Class begins!
                        Morning!  Boys and girls!
                        S: Morning ,teacher!
                        T: Sit down, please!
                        Step2. Uncle Bookys storytime
                        1.     Have the children open their books to page 12. 
                        Tell them that they are going to read a story about a 
                        boy going out to field.
                        2. Have children read the story by themselves. The 
                        teacher walks around the classroom, providing helps 
                        where children need.
                        3. Now point to the first picture and ask where the boy 
                        is. Read the sentence aloud pointing each word in the 
                        speech bubble. Have the children repeat after you.
                        4. Now point to the second picture. Ask what the boy is 
                        having now, Does he like it? Repeat the procedure with 
                        other pictures.
                        5. Play the tape straight through. Have the children 
                        point to corresponding picture.
                        6. Play the tape, stopping after each picture. Have 
                        children repeat following the tape.
                        Step 3. Play a game: Snap!
                        Snap! Is best played in pairs. Always be sure that one 
                        child in each pair is familiar with the vocabulary.
                        1.     Put the children in pairs and each child prepare 
                        the small cards for this Unit. Have each pair mix their 
                        cards together and then spread them face down on a 
table.
                        2.     The children in each pair take turns to flip over 
                        the cards, one by one, so that they are facing up. As 
                        soon as they see two cards with identical pictures on 
                        them , they must call out Snap! and say the correct 
                        English word for the picture, for example, Snap! 
                        Monday. When two cards with pictures of Mondays appear.
                        3.     The first child to call out Snap! and the 
                        correct word keeps the two matching cards. The children 
                        continue playing until there are no cards left on the 
                        table. The winner is the child with the most cards at 
                        the end of the game.
                        4.     If a child calls Snap! by mistake, for example 
                        when two cards do not match, or when he or she says an 
                        incorrect word, the game moves on to the next player.
                        Note: In later Units this game can also be used for 
                        matching written words and pictures.
                        Step 4. Bingo!
                        Use this game to review the core vocabulary introduced 
                        in Units 1.
